The medieval Mihkli Church in Rõngu is dedicated to the Archangel Michael. The church is also known as the oldest building in Rõngu. The sanctuary has suffered greatly during several wars, and over time the original architecture has changed during restorations. The current look of the church dates from the last reconstruction in 1901. Noteworthy in the church is the altar painting (1901, Dresden’s masterpiece); the organ (V. Müllverstedt 1874) and stained glass (1900, work of Riga’s masters). Good to know: The Church participates in both the "The Wayfarers’ Churches" and the "Church Night" program.
